Here you will find information and resources that will help you with US History.  Don't forget: you will be taking the Regents and/or RCT exams in June 2010.  Start preparing now!

The following Web sites have information you can use for your Constitution projects.  Make sure that summarize or paraphrase any information you include. Listen to The Preamble Song from Schoolhouse Rock to get started. 

 

National Constitution Center | Interactive Constitution
Click through this helpful site which is based on the book The Words We Live By: Your Annotated Guide to the Constitution by Linda R. Monk.  Each section of the Constitution is explained.

 

The Bill of Rights Institute
1. Click Student.
2. Answer the Question of the Month.
3. Scroll down the page and click through the different links to get to know the site. Use information on these pages to create your Constitution project.

Click here for help understanding and putting the Preamble of the Constitution into your own words.


 

Project 2 Description
Create a book suitable for a young person that describes and explains the U.S. Constitution.

1. Organize the book using the Table of Contents you received in class.

2. Fully describe and explain each section in your own words.

3. You may use illustrations in addition to words.

4. Include a Glossary at the end of the book that includes at least 10 important terms.

5. Create a cover for the book that includes the title, an illustration, your name and date.  See Ms. Brody for any materials you may need.

6. Project is due November 23, 2009.
